Today, Vicky Lewis-Baldy, Director and Senior Physiotherapist at Hybrid Health Physiotherapy, visited Vista Health’s North Bristol Diagnostic Centre in Patchway, Bristol, to see the facilities and learn more about the referral process.
The centre provides MRI scanning alongside other diagnostic services and is conveniently located for clients travelling from Bath and the surrounding areas.
We’re delighted to have now officially set up our clinical partnership with Vista Health and look forward to being able to offer this additional pathway to our clients when it is clinically appropriate.
Why access to MRI scanning can be helpful

Vista Health offers MRI scanning at locations across the UK, including its North Bristol Diagnostic Centre. The centre is located on Highwood Lane in Patchway and provides dedicated MRI scanning facilities.
Vista Health also provides a clinical partner referral pathway for qualified healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, allowing referrals to be submitted online through its secure portal.
What happens if your physiotherapist thinks you may benefit from an MRI?
Your journey will always start with a thorough physiotherapy assessment at Hybrid Health.
If we feel that an MRI scan could be clinically useful, we will discuss this with you and explain why we think imaging may be appropriate.
Where you choose to proceed, we can refer you through our Vista Health partnership for a private MRI scan.
Once your scan has taken place, the imaging and report can then help inform the next stage of your care. Vista Health states that diagnostic reports are generally available within three working days, although turnaround times can vary depending on the service.
This can help us make more informed decisions about your treatment and rehabilitation, whether that means continuing with physiotherapy, adapting your rehabilitation programme, discussing further medical assessment or helping you understand the next steps.
